EDMOND —
An Oklahoma City woman was arrested last week for hiding her illegal drugs at her job after a motor vehicle accident.
After Edmond Police Officer Jimmy Gwartney completed an investigation at Mercy Heath Center on the accident on Feb. 19, Gwartney received a call that stemmed from the accident, according to a police report.
After several hours of watching a bag of evidence at the woman’s place of employment, the woman returned to pick up her bag, which police found to have illegal drugs inside, the police report states.
Located inside the bag were several individually wrapped baggies of marijuana, which all field tested positive as that drug. One of the baggies weighed 4 grams, two weighed 4.5 grams and the other weighed 13.5 grams, the report states.
Also inside the bag were a small plastic baggy that contained a white powdery substance that field tested positive for cocaine, weighing 1 gram; a small plastic baggy that contained two individually wrapped plastic bags that contained a brownish, crystal-like substance that field tested positive for crack-cocaine, weighing 3.5 grams; one pink pill that field tested positive for ecstasy; and three other pills, which poison control identified as clanazapam and oxycontin, according to the police report.
Katheryn C. Fitchner, 30, of Oklahoma City, was arrested on complaints of possession of controlled dangerous substance, possession of CDS with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. She also had an Oklahoma County warrant. She was taken to the Oklahoma County Jail.
Fitchner’s boyfriend, Calvin Lee Viney, 32, of Edmond, who was waiting outside of the business for Fitchner, and was arrested on a Comanche County warrant. He was taken to the Oklahoma County Jail, to wait extradition to Comanche County, the report said.
