EDMOND Edmond Police Officer Tony Fike was involved in a collision Thursday morning when the 2005 black and white Ford Crown Victoria he was driving crashed into the rear of a trailer pulled by a Ford F-150 at a stop light. The collision occurred at 8:11 a.m. on Kelly Ave. at the southbound intersection of Robin Hill Road, said Glynda Chu, police spokeswoman.

“(Fike) was working traffic in that area and didn’t notice that the man in front of him had stopped for the light and he ran into the back of the trailer, causing minor damage to the trailer and front end damage to the police unit,” Chu said.

No injuries were reported by Fike or the driver of the truck, Charles Miller, 51. Both men drove their vehicles away from the scene on their own, Chu said.
