EDMOND Deer Creek man wins $1,777 in lottery

Matt Slover of Deer Creek is the first winner of Oklahoma’s top prize of $1,777 in the Oklahoma Lottery’s new Cool 7s Scratcher — and he’s calling it beginner’s luck since he had never before played the Lottery.

“I was in the Tuttle area visiting family when I decided to purchase a Scratcher,” Slover said. “I was shocked when I saw I had won. I kept re-checking the ticket and re-reading the instructions to make sure it was really a winning ticket.”

He purchased his winning ticket from Neighbors Mini Mart, 406 E. Main St. in Tuttle, and plans to use his surprise cash toward buying appliances for his new home.

Sam Noble museum invites teachers for free day

The day will also feature tours of museum classrooms and demonstrations of object-based learning activities such as those used in museum educational programs.
