Law firm helps Foundation

The Edmond Sun

The Burnett and Brown law firm is hosting a “Flock of Flamingos” fundraiser to “Adopt-A-Wish” through the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oklahoma. Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work.

The wish they chose to “adopt” is for a local Oklahoma child who would like to go on a family vacation to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Their goal is to raise $7,000 by Christmas. Flocks of pink plastic flamingos are being deployed in the front yards of businesses and residents in the Edmond-Oklahoma City area.

For a donation of just $25 anyone can send a “flock of flamingos” to a friend or family member, or to a business for a $50 donation. In order to have the flock removed the recipient must make a donation and then choose the next yard for the birds to migrate to (at no additional cost). There is an option of purchasing “Flamingo Insurance” for a $50 donation; this is the only way to ensure you do not receive a visit from the flock.

For more information, to send a “Flock of Flamingos” to a friend, make a donation or to purchase “Flamingo Insurance” please contact Stacy White swhite@burnettbrown.com or 302-0400.
