Prescription forgery caught at Walgreen's

EDMOND — An Edmond woman was arrested for allegedly forging a doctors’ prescription for pain medicine.

Edmond Police Officer Milo Box was called to the Walgreen’s Pharmacy at 185 E. 33rd around 1:30 p.m. Sunday in reference to a forgery in progress.

Box said he confronted the suspect, 36-year-old Ericka Leigh Sheridan, at the Randy’s M&M store across the street.

After being read her Miranda Rights, Box reported Sheridan allegedly admitted she had called in the prescription.

According to his police report, Sheridan allegedly said she was taking 20 to 30 Darvocet pills a day.

Sheridan told Box she has had a drug problem for 14 years that began with Lortab. She allegedly said after a surgery in May she was prescribed Darvocet and continued using it, according to the report.

Sheridan was arrested on a complaint of attempting to obtain a controlled dangerous substance by forged prescription and taken to the Oklahoma County Jail.
