Motorist runs into Edmond business

The Edmond Sun

A van sits parked in front of Kim’s Tailoring and Alterations, 701W. Edmond Road Tuesday afternoon, after the driver of the SUV mistakenly hit the gas, jumped the curb, crossed the sidewalk and broke through the front windows of the shop.

Glynda Chu, spokeswoman for the Edmond Police Department, said no one was injured in the accident and the driver was not ticketed since it happened on private property.

Chu said it was a miracle that no one was hurt. Not long before the accident, someone was in a dressing room, which collapsed when the van hit the building.

Chu said the police department received a call about the accident at 3:10 p.m.
