EDMOND An Oklahoma City federal grand jury has indicted a 19-year-old Edmond man and an Oklahoma City man allegedly involved in a drug trafficking scheme.

Warrants have been issued for the arrest of Brandus Leshaun Clayton, 19, of Edmond, and Michael Deangelo Gray, of Oklahoma City, according to information released Wednesday by U.S. Attorney John C. Richter.

According to court papers, in May Clayton allegedly delivered high-quality marijuana to Gray with the intent that Gray would distribute the marijuana. Gray allegedly agreed to pay Clayton $4,000 for the marijuana. Clayton possessed and intended to distribute about 233.6 grams of marijuana, the indictment states.

Clayton possessed a .40-caliber High Point firearm during the commission of the drug trafficking crime, court papers show. Gray had a .357-caliber Glock and a J-22 Jennings, according to the indictment.

Attempts to reach Clayton and Gray were not successful.

Clayton was indicted on a complaint of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute marijuana. If convicted on this count, he faces no more than five years in prison and up to a $250,000 fine, or both prison time and a fine.

Clayton also was indicted on a complaint of possession with the intent to distribute marijuana. If convicted on this count, he faces no more than five years in prison and up to a $250,000 fine, or both prison time and a fine.

Lastly, Clayton was indicted on a complaint of possession of a firearm during, in relation to and in furtherance of the commission of a drug trafficking crime. If convicted, in addition to the punishment provided for the drug trafficking crime, he faces no more than five years and up to a $250,000 fine, or both prison time and a fine. This count carries no probation and would not run concurrent with any other term of imprisonment.

Gray faces similar complaints.
