Vandal paints graffiti on Edmond homes

EDMOND — Residents in a north Edmond neighborhood were covering up graphic graffiti images spray-painted on garage doors.

Edmond Police spokeswoman Jenny Monroe said apparently at least eight and possibly 10 or more cars and homes were hit on Augusta Avenue, Bay Hill Place and Deborah Lane. Sometime during the Wednesday-Thursday overnight period the vandal or vandals struck in the neighborhood just east of KickingBird Golf Club, which lies east of Bryant and south of Danforth, Monroe said.

Monroe said the graffiti was spray-painted on garage doors and cars.

Thursday morning, one of the images, which depicted male genitalia, was visible on a garage door. Several other images had been covered by residents with white paint. “Obama” was spray-painted under the words on a stop sign.

Monroe said there is no suspect information at this time. Some of the victims declined to file an incident report with the Police Department, she said.
