Election Board open Friday, Saturday for early voting

EDMOND — Polls will be open for the general election from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 6, but other voting options are available.

The Oklahoma County and Logan County election boards can accept absentee ballots until the close of polling stations. Also, voters can cast ballots in person absentee from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 2, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 3 and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 5. A two-member bipartisan absentee voting board will be on duty those days to assist in-person absentee voters. Absentee voting will be done at the election board offices.

For any other questions, call the Oklahoma County Election Board at 713-1515, the Logan County Election Board at 282-1900 or the Canadian County Election Board at 422-2422. The Oklahoma County Election Board is at 4201 N. Lincoln in Oklahoma City.

Voters who do not know their polling location may find it online at www.elections.ok.gov in the “Frequently Asked Questions” section of the State Election Board’s Web site.

  • Broadway Paving Underway.jpg 3 miles of Broadway restoration nears completion

    Work to restore 3 miles of Broadway from Waterloo to Simpson was near completion Friday, said Mark Sharpton, District 1 county commissioner. Atlas Paving Company began the process of resurfacing the road this week.
    “Another improvement on the roadway will be the application of new safety striping,” Sharpton said.
    A recent bid letting by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation resulted in Action Supply being the lowest bidder at $27,752.30. The bid will be awarded June 3, Sharpton said.
