Catholic Charities invites Oklahomans to donate their finest green and join them for the St. Patrick’s Green Tie Gala at 6:30 p.m. March 8 at the Skirvin Hilton, One Park Ave. in Oklahoma City.
Featuring a dinner and silent auction, the Green Tie Gala is an annual event to raise much-needed funds benefiting programs for homeless women and children in Oklahoma City, Holy Family Home and Sanctuary.
A supportive residential care facility, Holy Family Home provides community-based services to homeless women and their children.
Located in south Oklahoma City, Sanctuary is operated by Catholic Charities, the program not only provides assistance for basic needs, but also a plan and the guidance needed to enable women and their families to overcome poverty and become self-sufficient.
This year’s Green Tie Gala also will honor Chris Reen, who has been named the 2013 Green Tie Gala Ambassador.
Tickets for the dinner gala are $125. All proceeds benefit the Holy Family Home and Sanctuary Women’s Development Center. Irish-inspired musical entertainment will be provided by renowned Oklahoma fiddler Kyle Dillingham.
