OKLA. CITY — The OSU-Oklahoma City Farmers Market will have an Organic Gardening for Spring and Fall Seminar at 9 a.m. Feb. 16 at the Agriculture Resources Center on campus, 400 N. Portland Ave. The seminar will be presented by Robert Stelle of Sunrise Acres Farm, a longtime vendor at the OSU-OKC Farmers Market.

“Robert is extremely knowledgeable on the subject of organic gardening and has a tremendous following,” said Cheryl Camp, OSU-OKC Farmers Market manager. “Customers at the market are always asking him questions about growing, and purchasing his starter plants and produce.”

Whether people want to grow produce organically or they just want to better understand what “organic” produce means, the seminar will have information and ideas for everyone, Camp said.

“This seminar is popular because people are interested in knowing more about their food and how it is grown,” Camp said. “The last time we held Robert’s Organic Gardening seminar, it was full. We are limited on seating, so people who want to attend need to let us know ahead of time so we can reserve their spot.”
