EDMOND —
Police are investigating a robbery at an Edmond apartment complex in which the suspect made off with cash and several cell phones, an incident report stated.
At about 10:30 p.m. Feb. 6, Edmond Police Officer Nicholas Tant was dispatched to receive information about an armed robbery that had just occurred near the Rolling Green apartments, 400 E. Danforth, according to a report filed by Tant.
Tant stated that he spoke with two victims who said they were going to visit a friend at an apartment in the complex.
Immediately after they arrived in the parking lot they were approached by an unknown black male wearing a red hoodie and a red beanie asking for directions, Tant stated.
Tant stated the victims said the male produced and pointed a black pistol at them, reportedly saying if they moved he would, “Blow their heads off.” The suspect told the victim in the driver’s seat to turn the car off, put the keys on the floorboard and to not move, Tant stated.
The suspect then ordered the victims to give him what money they had and their cell phones; one of the victims was also ordered to surrender his watch, Tant stated.
Police spokeswoman Jenny Monroe said no other descriptive information on the suspect was available.
Items listed as being taken during the incident were $100 in cash, a $300 cell phone, a $200 cell phone and a $50 watch, the report stated.

3 miles of Broadway restoration nears completion
Work to restore 3 miles of Broadway from Waterloo to Simpson was near completion Friday, said Mark Sharpton, District 1 county commissioner. Atlas Paving Company began the process of resurfacing the road this week.
“Another improvement on the roadway will be the application of new safety striping,” Sharpton said.
