Pancreatic cancer awareness walk set for Saturday

EDMOND — To increase awareness of pancreatic cancer in Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Pancreatic Cancer Support Groups will sponsor the Eighth Annual Garden Walk for Pancreatic Cancer Hope & Awareness, Saturday, Dec. 1.

The walk will take place through the gardens of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. This year’s program will include a Purple Pancake Breakfast that will kick off the event at 9 a.m. Purple is the designated color that represents pancreatic cancer awareness. Presentations will begin at 10 a.m. at the David L Boren Student Union, 1106 N. Stonewall Ave. There is no charge to the public to attend the Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Garden Walk and anyone is welcome to participate.
