EDMOND — A Logan County man was arrested late Friday on a homicide complaint, an official said.

At about 9 a.m. Friday, citizens walking in the 9900 block of South Bryant Avenue discovered a woman’s partially clothed body and called authorities.

Timothy Slawson, 21, of south Logan County was arrested and is being held at the Logan County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center, said Capt. Richard Stephens, chief deputy for the Logan County sheriff. Formal charges are anticipated to be filed on Monday, he said.

The victim of what appears to be a homicide was described as a partially clothed white female in her 30s, Stephens said. It appears as if the body had been transported and left there, he said.

Police did not find any form of identification on the body, Stephens said Friday. Hoever, by early evening, authorities said they had identified the victim and were locating family members. Until those family members are notified, the victim’s identity is not being released.

Investigators from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spent the better part of the day at the scene gathering evidence.
