Special to The Sun
OKLA. CITY —
“All the News That’s Fit to Click,” the New York Times online edition is now available free at your neighborhood Metropolitan Library System library.
“This is a tremendous honor for MLS,” said Executive Director Donna Morris, “because MLS is the only public library in the country to offer the Times online to customers. We think it will make an outstanding addition to our newspaper database collection.”
The Times online receives more than 30 million unique visitors every month, making it one of the most popular newspapers in the world.
Morris added that access is only available in an MLS library using a library computer, but that means it’s ready for use seven days a week.
“Adding the Times,” Morris said, “that brings the total of U.S. newspapers available through our database to 1,787, including from Oklahoma The Edmond Sun, Norman Transcript, Tulsa World and The Oklahoman.”
