Charity golf tournament benefitting The Education and Employment Ministry

EDMOND — The Oklahoma Association for Justice, a local organization comprised of trial attorneys from across the state, will partner with The Education and Employment Ministry for their annual charity golf tournament ‘Tee Off For TEEM’. The ‘4-Person Scramble’ golf tournament will take place Sept. 27 at Rose Creek Golf Course,17001 N. May. The registration fee is $200 or $800 for a team of four. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Proceeds benefit The Education and Employment Ministry programs.

OAJ protects the rights of individuals who cannot protect themselves, and TEEM works to reduce poverty, homelessness and unemployment.

By providing individuals with education, job training, job placement assistance and social services, TEEM empowers Oklahomans to become self-sufficient. In 2012, more than 73 percent of TEEM’s clients have found employment. However, it costs $1,000 for each individual to go through TEEM’s program. OAJ hopes to raise more than $20,000 to support TEEM and its programs.

Registration and lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. and tee-off will be at 1 p.m. For more information, visit teem.org/events, or call Sarah Blaney at 235-5671.
