A reward is in the offing for information from the public about an assault that reportedly occurred Tuesday evening along Interstate 35, a police spokeswoman said.
Edmond Police Department spokeswoman Jenny Monroe said the agency seeks information from the public about the incident that occurred Tuesday night at about 9:40 p.m.
Monroe said the department believes a 20-year-old Edmond woman was the victim of an assault along the I-35 Frontage Road between 15th Street and Second Street. The victim doesn’t know exactly what happened to her but remembers part of an assault, Monroe said.
“At this time there is no suspect information,” Monroe said. “The victim was jogging along the street west of I-35 at the time of the assault.”
Monroe said it is a well traveled area. If someone was in the area at that time and saw something they are asked to call Edmond Crime Stoppers at 359-4466. There is a reward for information leading to an arrest in this case, Monroe said.
