EDMOND — A local company is inviting shoppers who are sick of the mall but still searching for the perfect gift to come to the Fancy! and Friends Winter Market Nov. 2-3 at the Edmond Historical Society and Museum.

Sisters Kristin Ford and Angel Peck, co-owners of Fancy Like That!, are staging two days of holiday shopping and ideas for local shoppers. The party and event planning company is hosting its second annual event at the museum. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

“We chose the Historical Society because we believe it is an under valued and under used facility in Edmond,” Ford said “We don’t think the majority of Edmond knows how fantastic it is.”

In addition to more than 25 vendors selling everything including Christmas items to jewelry, artwork and home fragrances, Ford said, there will be purses, hand made items and much more including a photographer offering mini sessions.

“The photographer has been on ‘The Today Show,’” Ford said.

One vendor will be donating a T-shirt to a local organization for each one sold.

Smokin’ Okies Bar-B-Que will be set up in front of the Historical Society selling sandwiches.

One-of-a-kind jewelry by Dr. Dustin Buckley and hand made linens from Lebanon will be for sale.

“My sister and I recently visited family in Lebanon and brought back hand-beaded linens,” Ford said. “Along with these items we will have Grace Adele hand bags, accessories, home decor and coffee.

Glass Garden will have repurposed glassware made into outdoor bird baths and garden accessories while Beau Cheveaux’s hand-tooled leather works, sculptures, horse sculptures and hand-painted oils will be for sale.

Admission is free. For more information about party and event planning for groups from 10 to 300 go to or call Kristin Ford at 401-0736.
