EDMOND — Detectives were interviewing a man suspected of exposing his underwear in an Edmond Target mid-day Friday, police said.

Police spokeswoman Jenny Monroe said at about 12:15 p.m. a 17-year-old man exposed himself to customers in a women’s clothing area of the Target at Second Street and Bryant Avenue. Monroe said the man dropped his pants and said something to draw attention to the fact he was wearing women’s underwear.

Victims notified store management, called 911, followed the suspect, obtained a description of his vehicle and wrote down his license plate number, Monroe said.

Minutes later, an Edmond Police officer spotted the vehicle fitting the description — a white SUV, Monroe said. Inside the vehicle, which was stopped in the 1000 block of South Broadway, were several other pairs of female underwear, Monroe said.

Monroe said recently there have been three other similar incidents at the same Target. The Edmond Police Department is working to see if the suspect in custody is the same person involved in the previous incidents, she said.

“The M.O. matches,” Monroe said of the suspect’s method of operation in the incidents.

If anyone has information about the previous incidents they are asked to call Edmond Police Detective Mark Oak at 359-4478.
