EDMOND — Police said they are investigating an incident in which would-be robbers entered a citizen’s car.

Jenny Monroe, spokeswoman for the Edmond Police Department, said at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a call about an armed robbery at an apartment complex located at 3621 Wynn Drive.

When a male and a female went to an apartment to visit a friend, they realized the friend didn’t live there anymore and were going to leave, Monroe said.

When they returned to the car a suspect entered the vehicle through the back door while a second got the driver’s side door open and held a gun to the female victim’s head and demanded money, Monroe said.

She put the car in reverse and as she started to roll back, the suspect in the back seat jumped out, Monroe said. Both suspects ran towards the center of the complex, Monroe said.

Officers were unable to locate any suspects, Monroe said. No money or items were stolen, she said.
