3-17 Pets: Rescued animals

EDMOND — This is a list of animals that have been impounded by Edmond Animal Welfare at the Edmond Animal Shelter, Interstate 35 and Covell in the Cross Timbers Municipal complex. Call the shelter at 216-7615.



The following animals were impounded:

A siberian husky, red, was found at Danforth and Kelly.

A male domestic short-haired cat, orange/white, was found on Covell.

A female parson Jack Russell, tan/white, was found at Danforth and I-35.

A female domestic short-haired cat, black, was found on Morning Star.

A male golden retriever, yellow, was found at 15th and Boulevard.

A female pit bull, white/brown brindle, was found at Broadway and Second.

A long-haired chihuahua, red/white, was found at Bryant and Danforth.

A female long-haired chihuahua, red/white, was found at Bryant and Danforth.

A female short-haired chihuahua, black/white, was found at 15th and Boulevard.

A male Labrador retriever, black, was found on west Fourth.

A male Labrador retriever, black, was found on west Fourth.

A Lab/bassett mix, white/yellow, was found on east 32nd.



The following animals will be available for adoption after March 18:

A domestic short-haired cat, seal point/silver tabby, was found on north Jackson.

A Labrador mix, tan, was found on Woodview Lane.

    My Birth Center at OU Medical Center Edmond delivered its 100th baby at 7:42 a.m. Friday, 44 years after the hospital’s first 100th baby was born in 1968. My Birth Center opened in September, becoming the first birth place available in Edmond since 2005.

    The Logan County Democratic Committee will have its monthly meeting on Monday.
    The main order of business will be Get Out the Vote for the April 3 state Senate race. Precinct officers are encouraged to attend. In addition to business and planning items, the group will celebrate Logan County Democrats with birthdays in February.
