Special to The Sun
All four public access parks at Arcadia Lake reopened this morning at 6 o’clock. The parks have been closed since June 3 due to flooding from heavy rainfall and the ensuing runoff.
Lake levels are now near 1,009 feet, which is 3 feet above normal water elevation. Caution is strongly encouraged to all lake users as the elevated water levels still can be dangerous and all water safety precautions should be observed.
One low water crossing in Central State Park will remain barricaded and closed until waters recede further.
