EDMOND — A man walking along an Edmond street was jumped and punched by two males, according to an incident report.

Just after midnight on Nov. 11, Edmond Police Officer Jason Rigsby was dispatched to OU Medical Center Edmond in reference to an assault and battery, according to the report filed by Rigsby.

The victim said he was walking from the Circle K at 15th and Kelly to 501 W. 15th Street when he was jumped by two unknown males, Rigsby stated. The victim said he heard some foot steps behind him and the next thing he knew he was hit in the back of the head, the report stated.

He fell to the ground and the two men continued to hit him in the head and face, Rigsby stated. He said he believes the two males then ran toward 501 W. 15th Street, the report stated. After the incident, the victim ran to a friend’s house and the friend transported him to a hospital.

Rigsby stated the victim thinks the two men were white males but he wasn’t sure; he could not provide the officer with any clothing descriptions. The victim suffered a busted lip and nose, the report stated.
