Saturday grilling event to benefit Edmond's Boys Ranch Town

EDMOND — The Meat House, a local favorite and national gourmet butcher shop and grocer, located at 2245 W Danforth Rd., will be Grilling for Good on Saturday from 10 a.m until 2 p.m. The event will feature a free, donation-only BBQ event, consisting of pork ribs, pork shoulder, chicken and beef brisket. On top of free food, the Meat House is trying to raise enough money for a van for the Boys Ranch Town of Edmond. The Boys Ranch is in need of many things, but a van to transport the children is at the top of their list.

The event will include tastings from multiple vendors; Jeff Richter of Boars Head will be grilling hot dogs, C.R. Head from Head Country is bringing his mammoth smoker and will be cooking 200 racks of baby back ribs, Brett Vogler of Vinyard Produce & Vegetable Company will be manning the Smoked Corn on the Cob section, and lastly Cargill of Edmond, SYSCO of Oklahoma and Ben E. Keith of Oklahoma will be on site overseeing the preparation of their donated meats & beverages.

For more information, call the Meat House at 509-2900.
