EDMOND —
Edmond investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying two suspects wanted in a recent robbery at an Edmond restaurant, a spokeswoman said.
Police spokeswoman Jenny Monroe said at about 10:30 p.m. Dec. 23 an armed robbery occurred at Jason’s Deli, 78 E. 33rd St. The Edmond Police Department released the information Wednesday morning.
“As an employee was taking trash out for the night, two men armed with pistols pushed their way in the back door and ordered the four employees to the ground,” Monroe said.
One of the armed men is described as a black male in his early 20s with a slight mustache or possible goatee, Monroe said. He is about 6 feet tall with an athletic type build, she said.
The second armed man was wearing a mask, but his hands were visible and he is described as a light-skinned black male, Monroe said. He appears to be about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a stocky build, she said.
Monroe said the armed robbers took cash and cell phones.

City Council approves church remodel
A request by Redeemed Christian Church of God Kingdom Chapel to remodel a facility at 307 E. Danforth for a church was approved recently by the City Council.
“The church wants to rent a 2,302-square-foot space in the office building on the north side of Danforth, east of the convenience store, south of the Timber Ridge Addition,” said Bob Schiermeyer, city planner. “There will be no new construction other than interior remodeling to accommodate the church.
The church does not request changes to the one driveway or sidewalk of the property, Schiermeyer said. No changes will be made to the outside of the two-story brick veneer building. A sprinkler system will not be required. -
