OKLA. CITY —
The Single Parent Support Network is presenting its ninth annual signature event, “Queen For A Day,” from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 16 at Church of the Servant, 14343 N. MacArthur Blvd, Oklahoma City. “Queen For A Day” provides a day of pampering, education and encouragement to honor single mothers.
This year’s keynote speakers are retired USAF Maj. Gen. Rita Aragon, who serves as the fourth Oklahoma Secretary of Veterans Affairs.
The “Queen For A Day” event was launched eight years ago in Oklahoma City to honor hard working single moms and educate them on how to achieve balance so they neither neglect themselves nor the children they are raising. More than 300 single mothers, grandmothers, and single adoptive or foster moms who are raising children on their own are expected to attend.
