A 2-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital after he was pulled out of a neighborhood pond in southern Logan County, a fire official said Monday evening.
Oak Cliff Fire Department spokesman Luke Young said at about 4:50 p.m. Monday a call came in regarding a near drowning in the vicinity of the Kelly-Simmons intersection.
When Oak Cliff personnel arrived at the scene, the child already had been pulled out of the pond, Young said. He was breathing when the department personnel arrived, he said.
Young said the victim was transport by EMSA to a metro hospital. No other details were immediately available.
