U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., was awarded the “True Blue” award from the Family Research Council. The award honors members of Congress who have exhibited extraordinary leadership and commitment to the defense of family, faith and freedom, according to FRC Action’s scorecard covering the votes of the Second Session of the 112th Congress. Recipients of the “True Blue” Award voted consistently for pro-life and pro-family issues.
“I am honored to receive this award from FRC today and I am proud to continue to use my voice to support pro-family and pro-life policies,” Inhofe said. “As the start of the 113th Congress is well under way, I will remain committed to defend the value of family and continue the pivotal fight to uphold the sanctity of human life.”
Inhofe was one of four current senators to receive the “True Blue” award.
“We thank Sen. James Inhofe who has voted consistently to defend faith, family and freedom,” said Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council. “Sen. Inhofe and other ‘True Blue Members’ have voted to repeal Obamacare, protect the unborn and stand for religious liberty.”
