EDMOND — A group of local Baptist women spent part of their evening Monday serving other women with a variety of needs.

Jennifer Fett, women’s ministry coordinator for Edmond’s First Baptist Church, 1300 S.E. 33rd St., said church women of all ages participated in the night of service. They made blankets and sorted supplies for a women’s shelter in Tulsa, made cards for missionaries, visited a local retirement community to bring the joy of Jesus by singing, prepared frozen meals and delivered them to members of the community in need and created cards and filled care packages for students to use during the University of Central Oklahoma’s finals week.

Fett said First Baptist women are excited about what God is doing in their midst.

All church ladies college age thorugh senior adults are welcome to participate in every activity, Fett said.

The mission of First Baptist’s women’s ministry is to enable church ladies to grow in fellowship, missions, ministry, evangelism and discipleship in order to expand the kingdom of God.
