Special to The Sun

OKLA. CITY — The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office is asking for help from the public as the agency searches for a missing vehicle it believes was involved in a Choctaw-area homicide, police said.

OCSO spokesman Mark Myers said just after 8 a.m. the Choctaw Police Department received a call to the 15000 block of Southeast 29th Street after a witness found a deceased male in a yard near a trailer. Choctaw PD requested the OCSO's assistance with investigating the case, Myers said.

The victim, 46-year-old James Vaughn, had been shot multiple times, Myers said.

Myers said the OCSO is looking for a vehicle described as: a 1994 Buick Bonneville (4 door), champagne color, Oklahoma license plate 735DZZ, damaged passenger headlight, and red scrape on passenger side quarter panel.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of this vehicle is asked to call 911 or the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office at 869-2501.
