EDMOND — Edmond Police Department detectives need information from the public about a reported rape that occurred on Christmas Day, police said.

Police spokeswoman Jenny Monroe said a woman was raped inside her house in the very early hours of Dec. 25. Officers are searching for two individuals who may have followed the victim home from the area of Bryant and Second Street in Edmond earlier in the evening, Monroe said.

“The victim had been out running errands in the area and walked home,” Monroe said. “She was attacked by at least one man, but there were possibly two men who broke into her house sometime after midnight in the area of Blackwelder and Campbell.”

Monroe said there is no descriptive information about the individuals sought. Police hope someone who may have been out about that time in that area saw something, she said.

There is a Crime Stoppers reward for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest of the suspects. Call 359-4466 if you have information about this incident. You will remain anonymous. You also may provide tips to Police Detective Mark Oak at 359-4478.
