Winter-like weather this weekend
OKLAHOMA CITY — Some parts of Oklahoma could see winter-like weather over the weekend.
The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Cimarron and Texas counties in the Oklahoma Panhandle for early Saturday and a freeze watch for those counties and five others for Saturday night into Sunday morning.
The Panhandle also could endure a round of freezing rain Saturday night into Sunday as another storm system and cold front reinforce cooler-than-average conditions already in place.
Lows Saturday night into Sunday morning could dip as low as the middle 20s in the Panhandle, but a slow warming trend is expected to commence afterward.
On Friday, skies cleared in the west but entrenched cloud cover remained in central and eastern Oklahoma.
Temperatures ranged from 50 degrees in Enid to 59 degrees in Gage and Lawton. The mercury peaked at 51 in McAlester, Muskogee and Oklahoma City and reached 53 degrees in Stillwater and Tulsa.
Skies should be partly to mostly cloudy on Saturday, with temperatures ranging from the upper 30s in the Panhandle to the middle 60s in southern Oklahoma, forecasters said.
Light freezing rain may fall in the Panhandle Saturday night as lows range from the 20s in the Panhandle to the mid-40s in the south.
Mostly cloudy conditions are expected to continue in the north on Sunday as a chance of freezing rain lingers early in the Panhandle. Skies should be sunny in southern Oklahoma, with temperatures ranging from the low 50s in the Panhandle to near 70 in the southeast.
The state will see a slight chance of light rain on Monday as temperatures warm into the 60s and 70s statewide. Lows should range from the 30s in the northwest to the middle 50s in the southeast, forecasters said.
A chance for showers and thunderstorms will return to the forecast on Tuesday. Temperatures should reach the 60s during the day and dip into the 40s and 50s Tuesday night.

Rolling paper, scales lead to marijuana bust
Rolling paper, a cigar blunt wrap, digital scales and hydrocodone led to the seizure of 110 grams of marijuana from an Edmond home, police said.
An anonymous tip about illegal drug usage led police on Aug. 28 to an apartment at 1300 E. Ayers, according to a report filed by Edmond Police Officer Joshua Pratt. -
A&E show to shine light on hoarding in Oklahoma
One Edmond family will be the focus of a television program shedding light on an increasingly common problem.
Behind closed doors, many Oklahomans struggle with a form of obsessive-compulsive disorder known as “hoarding,” which is marked by a need to acquire and keep things, even if the items are worthless, hazardous or unsanitary. -
