EDMOND — The Goddard School, the premier preschool and childcare center for children from six weeks to six-years-old, located at 6001 East Covell Road will celebrate its Grand Opening with a “Navigate the Imagination” theme from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday., Nov.14. Children of all ages are invited to participate in the activities.
Steve Wilson, from Farmers Insurance, along with a representative from the Oklahoma County Sherriff’s Office will be offering free digital identification cards with finger prints. Families will receive 50 percent off their first full month’s tuition when they enroll during the festivities.
A ribbon of 100 $1 bills will be cut and donated to the Coffee Creek Riding Center whose mission is to provide free therapeutic riding to children and adults with a wide range of disabilities; riding offers mental, physical, emotional and social benefits.
On-site owners, Julie and Cory Guthrie, along with their education director, Randi Mahoney, and faculty, which includes teachers trained and experienced in early childhood development, welcome children into this nurturing environment where the curriculum encourages active learning.
The Goddard School FLEX Learning Program is based on a learning continuum that encompasses developmental guidelines, formative assessments and child-focused lesson plans that are delivered in a creative and fun environment with a child-centered approach to meet each child’s individual needs.
The program offers parents the convenience of extended hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., the flexibility of both morning or full-day schedules, and Quality Assurance standards that are monitored corporately.
Goddard School owners are committed to providing the best early childhood development experience for the children in their communities. In January of 2009, Goddard Systems, Inc. received company-wide accreditation from the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA) by meeting CITA’s key accreditation standards including a research-based curriculum, teaching methods that enhance student learning and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Goddard Schools support the on-going training of Goddard teachers by providing professional development courses on a quarterly basis through Goddard Systems University which has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).
Parents are invited to drop in for a tour or arrange a time by calling 330-1313, and ask for Julie, Cory or Randi. For more information go to www.goddardschool.com.
