Ardmore man goes missing in Edmond
EDMOND — An Ardmore woman is hoping this weekend that someone in Edmond will remember seeing her missing husband and thus provide a clue to finding him safe.
Johnny R. Forson, 68, of Ardmore, was last seen Wednesday by his wife at Edmond Medical Center. The Forsons drove up from Ardmore for Velma Forson, 66, to have a procedure at the hospital, according to an Edmond Police report.
Velma Forson told Edmond Officer John Zeigler that Johnny Forson left the hospital Wednesday afternoon to get food, but did not return until about 9 p.m. He told his wife that he had gotten lost. He then went back to his pickup to spend the night and did not return to his wife’s hospital room. He has not been seen by his family since then, Zeigler’s report states.
“His family is very worried about him,” said Glynda Chu, Edmond PD spokeswoman, noting that Velma Forson is back home in Ardmore.
Police have checked several locations in Edmond and Ardmore and by press time Friday night had not located Johnny Forson.
He is described as a white male 5 foot 9 inches tall weighing about 135 pounds. He has brown eyes and partially gray hair with baldness on top. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a red, white, and black checked shirt, boots and a baseball cap. He was driving a 2003 red Chevy Silverado crew cab pickup with tinted windows and an Oklahoma license plate.
If anyone has information about Forson’s whereabouts, they are asked to call Edmond Police at 359-4494.
