The Edmond Historic Preservation Trust will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Edmond Historical Museum, 431 S. Boulevard. The following items are on the agenda:

Special Events Committee
The Special Events Committee will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the MAC, 2733 Marilyn Williams Drive. The following items are on the agenda:
1. Call meeting to order.
2. Minutes for Nov. 4 meeting.
3. Discussion and action on deposit return:
• Crossroads Clinic “Walk/Run for Life” Mitch Park, Nov. 7.
• Cheyenne Middle School “Cheyenne 5K Fun Run”, Mitch Park, Nov. 14.
4. Discussion and consideration on the following events:
• Maddy’s Dream “Animal Rescue 7 Adoption,” Bickham/Rudkin Dog Park, May 8.

1998 Downtown Master Plan Review Task Force
The 1998 Downtown Master Plan Review Task Force and Edmond City Council workshop will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Room 104 of the Planning and Public Works building, 10 S. Littler. The following items are on the agenda:
1. Call to order.
2. Approval of Nov. 18 meeting minutes.
3. Discussion, including Central Edmond Urban Development Board members, of seven Sub-Area names and other changes recommended.
4. Discussion and review of Broadway between Second and Ninth streets.
5. New business.
6. Adjournment.

Edmond Memorial gets ready for Swine Week 2010
Edmond Memorial High School students took to the streets over the weekend to begin raising money for Swine Week, the school’s annual fundraiser.

Family seeks volunteers for bone marrow match
A series of bone marrow and blood drives has been scheduled for Edmond, Oklahoma City and Norman to help Dee Dee Dixon Rund, president of Oklahoma City Abstract and Title Company, who was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia.

State Reps. Scott Martin and Lewis Moore were proud today to welcome and celebrate with a number of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts who attended events at the state Capitol commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America.

Polls will be open for the Edmond Public Schools Board of Education District 5 election from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, but other voting options are available.
The Oklahoma County and Logan County election boards can accept absentee ballots until the close of polling stations. -
Edmond bank agrees to improve policies, practices
State and federal regulators have given an Edmond bank a deadline for submitting a written plan to strengthen oversight of bank management and operations.

An advisory panel Friday rejected a recommendation calling for county commissioners to pursue a new estimated $330 million jail, then voted to revisit the issue at a later date.
