A worker at an Edmond retail establishment left with two day’s worth of deposits and did not report for a scheduled workday, an incident report shows.
During the afternoon of Oct. 9, Police Officer Tim Owen spoke with the reporting party at the police station who was the regional loss prevention manager for Dollar General Stores, the report stated.
On Oct. 8, the loss prevention manager was notified about two missing bank deposits for the company’s store at 745 W. Danforth Road, Owen stated.
Owen stated the loss prevention manager said he reviewed store surveillance video, which showed the employee, who was the store manager, processed the day’s receipts in the store office.
The loss prevention manager said employee carried the deposits to the safe room but instead of placing them in the safe, per company policy, she is seen on Sept. 3 and Sept. 4 putting them in her purse and leaving the store, Owen stated.
The employee failed to show for work on her scheduled day of Sept. 6, Owen stated.
A related but separate public incident report listed the incident property as $3,631.91.
Owen stated the loss prevention manager gave him DVDs of the surveillance video and bank deposit procedural documents from the store in question. No other information regarding the case was available.
