OKLA. CITY — Lucinda Kennan of Oklahoma City was announced the Grand Prize winner of the 2013 St. Jude Dream Home valued at $425,000.

The recipient of the Dream Home, built by Timbercraft with generous donations from Edmond and metro businesses, was announced Thursday evening on KFOR. Kennan’s $100 raffle ticket was drawn making her the new owner of the Edmond home. The St. Jude Dream Home is at 3309 Libby Lane in the Fallbrook community of Edmond near Western and Covell.

Visitors to the home reserved their $100 ticket for a chance to win a house,  or they signed up to win a car or 11 additional prizes. The real winners of the St. Jude Dream Home giveaway will be the children who will receive treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research hospitals where the battle against childhood cancer is fought on a daily basis.

“We had planned on keeping the home open through Wednesday before the giveaway, but we sold our last of 7,500 tickets on Sunday,” said Billye Peterson, member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International sorority. The sorority members acted as hostesses as they welcomed residents who came to purchase tickets or just to view the home.
