Game days offer Sooner fans an opportunity to take advantage of some discounts on Sooner culture and history. Throughout the football season, the Sam Noble Museum and the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art on the University of Oklahoma Norman campus offer a $1 discount on admission to anyone showing an OU football ticket on the day of the game.
Regular admission rates for each museum are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $3 for youth ages 6 to 17, and free for children ages 5 and under. With game day discounts in play, a family of four may visit both museums for under $25 and enjoy a full day of fine art and dinosaur fun before the kickoff.
Football ticket discounts are valid only for the day of the game on the ticket and may not be combined with any other promotion or discount.
Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. The art museum is open until 9 p.m. on Fridays.
The Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art is at Elm Avenue and Boyd Street, within walking distance to Campus Corner and the OU stadium. The museum features works from Georgia O’Keeffe to Vincent van Gogh. Current exhibitions include Native American art, contemporary American works and the Weitzenhoffer Collection of French Impressionism. The Sam Noble Museum is at 2401 Chautauqua Ave., within walking distance of the Lloyd Noble Center. Exhibits feature record-setting dinosaurs, archaeological and Native American cultural artifacts, and realistic dioramas of Oklahoma ecosystems. There is ample free parking for visitors while they are in the museum, and after their visit, fans can avoid campus traffic by parking at the Lloyd Noble Center nearby to catch the football shuttle to the Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
