The Edmond Sun
EDMOND —
Edmond Public Schools is seeking input from the public to help name its newest elementary school currently under construction at 2300 N. Pennsylvania. School names should be submitted by Oct. 31 and must reflect one of the following criteria:
• A natural event, feature, or features
• Memorials in honor of a deceased national, state or community leader
• Historical sites or events
• Geographical locations
• Landmark significance
Submission forms will be available at all school offices, the district’s administrative center at 1001 W. Danforth and the district’s website, www.edmondschools.net.
Patrons also may have the submission form emailed to them upon request by contacting Jan Harris at
jan.harris@edmondschools.net.
A committee of patrons, teachers and district personnel will research the submissions and recommend to Superintendent David Goin names for consideration. The Board of Education will then vote on the final name, probably sometime in December.
