Edmond Rotary Club will host Edmond Police Detective David Otwell Oct. 17 as speaker during its weekly meeting.
Otwell will speak about the department’s polygraph program. He has been in law enforcement for approximately 24 years, 21 in Edmond. While there, he has served in various capacities, from patrol duty to school resource officer. He was promoted 12 years ago to detective, specializing in sex crime cases. In 2003, EPD Chief Bob Ricks appointed Otwell to serve as a task force officer on the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force where he remains today.
The service organization meets at noon every Wednesday at Henderson Hills Baptist Church, 15th Street and the east I-35 Service Road.
