EDMOND — Authorities are looking for a metro man wanted in the shooting death of an Edmond teen.

Oklahoma City Police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said investigators have obtained a warrant on a first-degree murder complaint for Davieon Deshawn Smith, 19, of Oklahoma City. In a January felony drug-related case initiated by the Del City Police Department Smith’s address is listed as an apartment at 14300 N. Pennsylvania Ave., according to court records.

On Nov. 15 at about 7 p.m. Oklahoma City police officers were called to 3101 N.W. 150th regarding a shooting, Knight said. Officers arrived and found two people with gunshot wounds, Knight said. It appears the victim and the arrested person were shot during an illegal drug transaction, he said.

Jonathan Charles Braggs, 19, of Edmond, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Johnathan Dominique Daniels, 20, of Oklahoma City, was transported and admitted at an area hospital, Knight said. On Nov. 19, Daniels was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on complaints of felony murder and robbery, Knight said. He is being held without bond.

On Thursday, Oklahoma County prosecutors filed first-degree murder charges against Daniels, according to court records.

Anyone with information regarding Davieon Deshawn Smith’s whereabouts should call the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s warrant team at 713-6262.
