EDMOND — Authorities are investigating the discovery of a body along Interstate 35 in Edmond as a homicide, police said.
Police spokeswoman Jenny Monroe said a motorist driving north on I-35 saw a body on the side of the road at mile marker 143 after 4 a.m.
Monroe said Edmond and Oklahoma Highway Patrol officers worked the scene.
"The deceased is a Hispanic male and appears to be a victim of a homicide," Monroe said. "The nature of the wounds would indicate homicide."
Monroe said she could not go into any further detail at this time.

Unanswered questions include if the murder happened at the scene or if the body was moved and left there, a motive and identity of the victim. No suspect information was available.
Monroe said the state medical examiner's office picked up the body.
