Police report alleged sex offense on school bus

EDMOND — A victim was allegedly forced to perform oral sex on a suspect while on a school bus during a ride home, according to Edmond Police Department incident report.

The one-page report released by the EPD Thursday identifies the incident as an alleged sexual assault. It lists the incident business as Santa Fe High School, 1901 W. 15th St. Information related to the suspect and victim was redacted.

Police spokeswoman Jenny Monroe said she cannot speak about any of the details related to the incident.

“It is under investigation,” Monroe said. “We are working with the school and victim involved.”

Edmond Public Schools’ spokeswoman Susan Parks-Schlepp said the parents of the alleged victim told administrators Tuesday that their teenager was forced to perform oral sex on another teenager while on a bus that was transporting students home from the high school.

Parks-Schlepp said it is the district’s understanding that the alleged incident occurred on Dec. 4, and that it involved two minors.

“We would like to be as transparent as possible but because of federal and state privacy laws we are extremely limited in the amount of information that we can share,” Parks-Schlepp said.

Parks-Schlepp said there is one security camera on the bulkhead of the bus. Transportation officials have secured the video and will be providing that to police to aid in their investigation, she said.

“Edmond Public Schools takes allegations of this nature very seriously and we are cooperating fully with Edmond Police in their investigation,” Parks-Schlepp said.
