The 32nd annual Arts Festival Oklahoma is set for Sept. 4-6 at Oklahoma City Community College where festival-goers may view and purchase original artwork and handicrafts, listen to live performances and sample a diverse selection of food. The University of Oklahoma’s Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art presents Wanderlust: Travel and American Photography through Sept. 12. The exhibit examines the role America highways and interstates have played in the migratory desires of the American people. For more information, visit www.ou.edu/fjjma.

The Oklahoma Master Chorale will have auditions until Sept. 10 and welcomes all interested singers. Dr. Nettie Jean Williams, founder and director of the Oklahoma Master Chorale, has scheduled four concerts for the coming season. The first will be an all-Brahms event with full orchestra, then two performances mid-season of Haydn’s “Lord Nelson Mass,” concluding with a program of selected American choral works in McAlester in May. Choctaw’s 20th annual Oktoberfest, set for Sept. 8-11 is a celebration of German tradition complete with traditional folk dancing, singing, authentic costumes and a variety of beers and German food prepared by Old Germany Restaurant. The family-friendly festival at Choctaw Creek Park features a variety of entertainment for those of all ages. For more information, see choctawfestival.org/oktoberfest.

Developmental Screening will be from 1-5 p.m. at the Edmond Library. A developmental screening is a very general look at how children are doing compared to other children the same age. At a screening appointment, your child’s developmental progress will be assessed. Screenings will include a small fee. Children Reading to Dogs will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Edmond Library. All dogs and owners are trained and certified as dog therapy teams, and most through Therapy Dogs International. Sessions last approximately 15-20 minutes.

The Oklahoma City Storytelling Festival will take place at the Kerr Auditorium, 123 Robert S. Kerr Ave, in Oklahoma City through Sept. 11. The storytelling festival brings several distinguished storytellers to Oklahoma City to perform and teach during evening performances, an afternoon family matinee, late night ghost stories, professional workshops and a community outreach program that serves at-risk youth. Septemberfest, a free Oklahoma celebration for the whole family featuring activities and interactive exhibits for people of all ages, is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Governor’s Mansion. AARP Defensive Driving Safety Class will be from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Edmond Library. This course helps drivers refine existing driving skills and develop safe driving techniques.     On Wednesday and Thursday the 13th Oklahoma multicounty grand jury, led by Assistant Attorney General Charles Rogers, chief of the AG’s Multicounty Grand Jury Unit, received evidence; it also met Jan. 1.
    During the session at the Attorney General’s Office, 313 N.E. 21st St., grand jurors received testimony of witnesses and numerous exhibits in several different matters, according to an interim report released Friday by the attorney general’s office.
