Edmond Police Officer James Hamm demonstrates CoolCop. On a hot day there’s nothing more uncomfortable than having to wear a sweat-soaked T-shirt under a bulletproof vest, Hamm said.
The CoolCop system clips onto an air vent and directs the cool air through a hose which has a soft vest attachment that fits between the vest and undershirt. Cool air is delivered under the vest. The product was invented by a police officer in northern California.
