Wade to go on mission

Special to The Sun

EDMOND — Scott H. Wade, son of Barry and Tracy Wade, has been called by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to serve a two-year mission in San Salvador, El Salvador.

He will be reporting to the Mexico City Missionary Training Center Nov. 27, where he will spend six weeks making final preparations to learn Spanish and ready himself to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to those whom he has been called to minister.

He graduated from Deer Creek High School as well as completed four years of early morning seminary through the Church Education System of the Mormon Church. After many years of studying the scriptures, regularly attending church services and serving neighbors, friends and family, Wade said he is excited to step foot on Central American soil to share his love of Jesus Christ and His message of peace and salvation to all.
