UCO women fall in poll

LILBURN, Ga. — An overtime loss on the road last week dropped Central Oklahoma two spots in the USA TODAY/ESPN Division II women’s basketball poll that was released on Tuesday.

The Bronchos fell from 12th to 14th in the top-25 poll after a disappointing 81-77 overtime loss at Texas A&M-Kingsville; last Saturday. UCO, now 9-2 on the year, opens a three-game homestand Thursday with a 2 p.m. contest against Abilene Christian.

Today’s game time was moved to 2 p.m. from its originally scheduled 6 p.m. start.

Unbeaten Northern Kentucky (11-0) continues to top the Division II poll, followed by Alaska-Anchorage and Washburn. Lone Star Conference rival West Texas A&M;, which handed UCO its other loss back in December, is ranked No. 6.
