Rand Michael (Randy) Hart

1957-2008

The Edmond Sun

EDMOND — Funeral services for Rand Michael (Randy) Hart, 50, of Edmond, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at New Covenant Methodist Church in Edmond. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Oakpark Cemetery in Chandler.

Arrangements are under the direction of Baggerley Funeral Home.

Hart was born Dec. 6, 1957, in Stillwater. He died Friday, April 18, 2008, in Oklahoma City.

He taught at Sequoyah Middle School in Edmond for more than 25 years and coached cross country, track and golf. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree and master’s degree with honors in education from the University of Central Oklahoma. He was a member of New Covenant Methodist Church in Edmond, through which he led a boys “core” group for seven years. He also served through programs such as the Walk to Emmaus and the Stephens Ministry.

Survivors include his son, Micah of Edmond; his parents, Conrad and Ruth Ann Hart of Chandler; and brothers, Mark Hart, Jimmy Hart and John Hart, all of Chandler, and David Hart of Edmond.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Children’s Fund at 2821 Emerywood Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294.
