— A Mass of Christian burial for John A. Simon, 89, of Guthrie, father of Virginia Osgood of Edmond, is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Monica Catholic Church. Wake services are scheduled for 7 p.m. today at St. Monica’s. Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. at Resthaven Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Baggerley Funeral Home.
Simon was born Aug. 9, 1918, in Chandler. He died Friday, April 18, 2008, in Guthrie.
Simon spent his adult life in Oklahoma City and Norman where he worked for Humpty Dumpty/Allied Foods for more than 30 years, most recently as meat sales supervisor for much of the state.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Edna Simon; his wife, Christina; and a son, Michael.
Other survivors include children Jerry Simon, John Simon, Jim Simon and Rick Simon; a brother, Charles Simon; a sister, Teresa Mehan; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
