Rev. William “Bill” Yeager

1931-2008

The Edmond Sun

EDMOND — Funeral services for the Rev. William “Bill” Yeager, 77, of Edmond are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Oak Tree Assembly of God.

Arrangements are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home.

Yeager was born Jan. 6, 1931, in Chickasha. He died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, in Oklahoma City.

Yeager graduated from the University of Illinois in 1957 and received a Master of Divinity in 1982 from Phillips University. He was pastor at the following churches: First United Methodist in Hunter, associate pastor at First United Methodist in Tulsa, Shook United Methodist (New Hope), associate pastor at First United Methodist in Oklahoma City, and he was ordained with the “Heartland Conference” of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include his wife, Miriam; his children, Starla and David and three grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideon’s International, which distributes Bibles across the world.
